History
Taking Pictures, Changing Lives was founded in 2009 by UK photographer Adam Dickens.
In the early days, Adam travelled the world himself to photograph the work of small charities. The heart behind that work hasn't changed - but the way we work has. By building a global network of local photographers, we can now support far more charities, in far more places, with storytellers who truly know the communities they're documenting.
Seventeen years on, we've made over 100 visits to charity projects across 4 continents, partnered with 40 charities in 20 countries, and gifted more than 80,000 photos to organisations that couldn't otherwise afford them.
We work with some of the most under-represented communities on earth - and we're only just getting started.

Our work has taken us to over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe.
We have photographed and filmed extensively in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Ghana, Togo, Nepal, Peru, Guatemala, Greece, Bulgaria, DR Congo, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, as well as the UK.
